In this role, you'll conduct foundational and applied machine learning research into potential well-being and moral status of AI systems.

Design and conduct empirical research on AI well-being, including LLM preferences, values, introspection, and valence representation.

Collaborate with external researchers across AI welfare and safety ecosystems on empirical and conceptual research.

Write papers, blog posts, and present talks reporting your research findings.

Develop and iterate on experiments quickly and creatively, implementing necessary tooling and infrastructure.
