This Cookie & Local Storage Policy explains how AI Safety Careers uses cookies, local storage, session storage and similar technologies on aisafetycareers.com.
1. Summary
AI Safety Careers does not currently use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, Google Analytics cookies, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag or similar marketing pixels.
AI Safety Careers may use essential cookies or similar technologies for authentication, account security, payment processing, saved jobs, interface preferences, analytics support and service functionality.
We do not use a cookie consent banner at this time because we do not currently use non-essential advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies. If we introduce non-essential cookies or marketing pixels in the future, we may update this policy and add appropriate consent controls.
2. Cookies and similar technologies we may use
Essential authentication storage
Employer and admin login may use cookies, local storage or similar technologies that are necessary to keep users logged in and protect account security.
We use Supabase Auth for authentication, including email/password login, Google OAuth login, email verification and password reset functionality.
These technologies are considered essential for account login and security.
Payment and fraud-prevention technologies
Paid employer listings are processed through Stripe or another payment provider.
Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies during checkout for payment processing, fraud prevention, security and checkout functionality.
These technologies are controlled by Stripe and may be governed by Stripe's own terms and privacy policy.
Local storage
We may use local storage for user-facing preferences and browser-only features, such as:
- saved jobs;
- theme preference;
- interface preferences;
- other local user experience settings.
Saved jobs are stored locally in your browser. AI Safety Careers does not currently sync saved jobs to an account or store a user-specific saved jobs list on its servers. If you clear your browser storage, your saved jobs may be removed.
Session storage
We may use session storage for limited session-based functionality, such as:
- initial referrer;
- landing page;
- UTM campaign parameters;
- avoiding repeated counting of the same product analytics event in one browser session.
Session storage is cleared by the browser according to browser behavior, often when the tab or session ends.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics for aggregate traffic and performance insights. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies.
We also collect limited first-party product analytics events, such as job views, apply clicks, newsletter signup events, searches, filter usage and employer funnel events.
We do not store IP addresses, user agents, full email addresses or full external application URLs in analytics events.
Product analytics are not used for cross-site advertising.
Newsletter email tracking
Newsletter emails are sent through MailerLite.
MailerLite may process newsletter delivery, open, click and unsubscribe activity. This email tracking is described in our Privacy Policy. It is separate from website advertising cookies.
Newsletter links may include UTM or similar campaign parameters so we can understand which newsletter links bring visitors to the website.
3. Technologies we do not currently use
AI Safety Careers does not currently use:
- Google Analytics cookies;
- Meta Pixel;
- LinkedIn Insight Tag;
- advertising cookies;
- cross-site tracking cookies;
- third-party retargeting pixels;
- cookie-based behavioral advertising.
4. How to control cookies and storage
You can control or delete cookies, local storage and session storage through your browser settings.
Browser controls may allow you to:
- delete cookies and site data;
- block third-party cookies;
- clear local storage;
- clear session storage;
- manage site permissions;
- use private or incognito browsing mode.
If you block or delete essential cookies or storage, some features may not work correctly. For example, employer login, saved jobs, theme preferences or checkout functionality may be affected.
5. No current cookie banner
Because AI Safety Careers does not currently use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, Google Analytics cookies, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag or similar non-essential marketing technologies, we do not currently show a cookie consent banner.
If we add non-essential cookies, advertising pixels or cookie-based analytics in the future, we may update this policy and add consent controls where required.
